James Earl Earp
February 26, 1930 – November 9, 2010

James Earl Earp, 80, of Bailey died Tuesday.  Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and at other times will be at his home. A graveside service with military honors will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at the Bailey Cemetery. Pastor Steve Strickland will officiate.

Mr. Earp was married for 54 years and was employed by Burlington Industries for 47 years.

He is survived by a son, Greg N. Earp and wife Deborah of Selma; a grandson, James Evan Earp of Selma and a sister, Eula Bea Brantley of Bailey.

Mr. Earp was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Williams Earp, five sisters, and two brothers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in his memory may be directed to the American Cancer Society, c/o Mrs. C. A. Thompson, 1207 Peacthree Rd., Wilson, NC  27896.
