The best time to plan a funeral is before one is needed.

Arrangements are much more difficult to make at the time of need. At that point in time the family is under great emotional stress and may not make the best choices. Many people pre-arrange to relieve their loved ones of having to make these difficult choices.

Advance Planning allows you time to think. There can be more than 250 decisions to make at the time of death. Advance Planning allows you to have control over many of these decisions, including the type of service, special obituary information, clothing desired and other information that a person's family may not know or remember at the time of death. It also can be an opportunity  for a person to reflect on their own life and those of their family members who have preceded them.   Prepayment may be made, but is not required.
