My heart was heavy when I heard of the loss of Teresa. We worked together many years at the Department of Social Services and shared an office during that time. She was such a sweet and humble person and I know everyone will miss the beautiful smile she shared with everyone. know that my thoughts and prayers are with the family now and in the future.

All of us within the Wilson County Department of Social Services Professional Family wish to express our deepest sympathy to all the friends and family members of our dear friend Teresa. As a fellow human being Teresa was as good as good can be. She cared deeply about those she served and her fellow co-workers here at DSS. All us were touched by her total commitment, love and caring to everyone and to everything she was involved in. We all remember her always calling and leaving an uplifting voice message on our voice mail whereby she would sing us a happy birthday song on our birthdays. Teresa sang to us as only Teresa could! She will always hold a special place in our hearts as our dear friend.

Wilson County Department of Social Services

When it came to my sister, brother and me, you were our second mother. We love you deeply and always will. If it was not for you coming to pick us up on the church van we would have never been in church or have a personal relationship with God. I remember the starcrunches after church and the singing we did on the way to and from church. Also the many talks we had as I grew up. You have always been a role model for me and taught me how a strong woman should live. My heart is hurting but I know I will see you again someday. There is no doubt in my mind that you are wrapped in the arms of the Lord, smiling down on us and loving us from a far. We love you and miss you.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Woodard family. Ms. Teresa was a great person to know and a joy to talk to. She'll be missed, but knowing she's with the Lord, this is a comfort in itself.
