Jimmie  D. Jenkins
September 18, 1931 – March 16, 2012

Jimmie D. Jenkins, 80, of Elm City passed away Friday.  Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday in Evergreen Memorial Park.  The Rev. Gene Wells will officiate.

The family will receive friends 6 – 8 p.m.  Monday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway.

Mr. Jenkins is survived by his wife, Alpha Fenn Jenkins; sisters, Ruth J. Joyner of Rocky Mount, Helen J. Owens and husband, R.C. of Wilson, Rachel J. Harrell of Nashville and Peggy J. Roberson and husband, Eddie of Rocky Mount; nieces, Cathy Andrews, Patricia Harris and Deborah McVeigh; nephews, Robin Harrell, Bobby Owens and Billy Owens.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, James Redden and Mae Estelle Flowers Jenkins.
