Jeffrey Neal Godwin
June 10, 1959 – March 21, 2012

Jeffrey Neal Godwin, 52, of Wilson passed away Wednesday.  Memorial services will be conducted 7 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.  The Rev. Robert Winstead will officiate.  The family will receive friends following the service.

Jeffrey was a loving son and  brother that has left them to go be with the Lord.  He will be  missed but has left behind wonderful memories that will be cherished.  Jeffrey served in the U.S. Army and served our country in Germany for three years.  He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church for many years and served not only the Lord but others.

Jeffrey is survived by his mother, Barbara D. Herring of Wilson; sister, Kimberly Cherry and husband, Trey of Wilson; brother, Scott Hayes and wife, Sonja of Wilson; nephews, Eric Hayes of Wilson and Brenner Cobb of Wilson along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Godwin, Jr. and a brother, Spencer Hayes.
