She served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam era and was active in the Marine Corps League Tri-County Detachment 1262 of Rocky Mount, NC. Suzi raised three children in Amherst Junction, WI while managing a small farming operation and family interstate trucking company. Whether it be farm chores, babysitting, medical support for the high school sporting events, or helping friends in need, Suzi gave all of herself with compassion and joy. She did not know a stranger and made everyone she cared for a part of the Sannes Family.

My parents (Leona & Milton) and her parents, your grandparents (Betty & John) were long time friends and shared so many great memories together.
