Dorothy Vick Lucas
November 25, 1932 – April 9, 2012

Dorothy Vick Lucas, 79 of Wilson passed away Monday.  Funeral services will be conducted 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Joyner’s Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.  The Rev. Johnny Sullivan will officiate.

The family will receive friends 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway and other times at the home of her son, Ricky Lucas, 2114 Dayton Drive.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Terry Lucas McKeel and husband Danny, of Wilson; son, Charles Ricky Lucas and wife, Hope of Wilson; granddaughters, Heather Hinson and husband, Rick of Raleigh and Haylan Lucas of Wilson; grandson, Landon Lucas of Wilson; great-granddaughter, Alice-Kate Hinson of Raleigh; sister, Celia Overman of Wilson; brother, George Vick of Wilson and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Lucas was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Marion Lucas; daughter, Sharon Lucas; parents, Linwood Beal Vick, Sr. and Bonnie Bell Jones Vick; sister, Jean Barbour and brothers, David Vick and Linwood Beal “Ben” Vick, Jr.

Arrangements are by Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway.
