Clinton Joyner, 81, of Wilson passed away Friday.  His funeral service will be conducted 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.  The Rev. Sidney Webb will officiate.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at the home.   Clinton fought a courageous battle for many years, never complaining, always pleasant, and quick with a joke.  He served his country 1953 – 1955 in the US Army and with the National Guard for many years.  He was the owner of the Tastee Freeze in Farmville from 1969 – 1994, and Klint’s Korner in Lucama from 1984 to the present.  He was a lifetime member of the American Legion.   Clinton is survived by his wife of fifty seven years, Louise Driver Joyner; daughter, Jennifer O’Hara of Wilson;  grandsons, Clint O’Hara and wife, Lauren of Wilson and Kevin O’Hara and wife, Anne Huitt of Wilson; two precious great-granddaughters, Reagan and Carson O’Hara; brother, Eugene Joyner of Wilson; sisters-in-law, Iris Joyner and Pam Edmundson and several nieces and nephews.   He was preceded in death by his parents, Alford and Minnie Lamm Joyner; his brother, Willard Joyner and his sister-law, Frances Joyner.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Lung Association, 514 Daniels Street, Suite 109, Raleigh, NC  27605.   Condolences may be directed to www.joyners.net
