Deedie Davis September 25, 1943 – March 20, 2015 Deedie Davis, 71, of Sims, passed away Friday. Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. The Rev. Melvin Barnette and The Rev. John Howard will officiate. Graveside services will be private. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening immediately following the service at the funeral home and other times at the residence. Deedie is survived by her husband, Clemon Gary Davis, Jr of the home; her son David Davis and wife, Sandi of Wilson; daughter Lisa Billups of Wilson; her grandson Jordan Davis of Wilson; her granddaughters Hannah Davis of Wilson and Mikayla Billups of Wilson; her brothers Kenneth Sullivan and wife, Annette of Wilson and Freeman Jack Sullivan of Sims. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ashley Davis, Jr, her parents William Taft and wife, Flonnie Sullivan; and her brothers Arthur Sullivan, and Manuel Taft Sullivan.
