George Hondros December 8, 1940 – November 30, 2017 George Hondros, 76, of Rocky Mount passed away November 30, 2017 in Rocky Mount. The family will receive friends 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 7th at St. Timothys Episcopal Church, 202 N. Goldsboro Street E., Wilson. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, December 7th at St. Timothys Episcopal Church with the Rev. Marty Stebbins officiating. George Hondros was born in Rocky Mount to Augustus Hondros and Golfo Yinnacopolis on December 8, 1940. He went to school at Rocky Mount Senior High. He married Anne Harrell Hondros on June 6, 1968 in Dillon, South Carolina. He worked as a Real Estate salesman and a general contractor. He served in the Navy as a Quartermaster and was awarded the good conduct medal. He was involved in the Lions Club and the Habitat of Humanity. George is survived by wife, Anne; his daughter, Melissa and husband, Nick, son, Chris; brother, James; sister, Edith and loved his granddaughters, Alexandrea and Lauren.
