My deepest condolences to the Winstead family, May you find some comfort in the Gift that the Most High God has given us, yes His written word the Bible (Psalms 83:18 & 2Timothy 3:16). I would like to share a few Scriptures that helped us to cope when our precious daughter died and recently my beloved husband of 50 years fell asleep in death: (Isaiah 25:8)swallow up death, (Isaiah 33:24)no more sickness, like cancer and other horrible diseases, (John 5:28, 29)seeing loved ones again, (2Corinthians 1:3) yes God can comfort us, to deal with present situations. But, He also says where we can see our loved ones again at Psalms 37:11 and how long Psalms 37:29. I hope that these few Scriptures were of some comfort to you as they were to me. My sincere sympathy, Sissy

I knew both Mr. and Mrs. Winstead as I was growing up in New Hope Baptist Church. They were both fine, Christian people that I thought the world of. I have not seen Mrs. Mamie Winstead in many years, but I am saddened to hear of her passing. My sympathy to all of the family in the loss of their precious loved one. I want to send my deepest sympathy to the family of Mamie Skinner Winstead. The bible tells us we can gain comfort from God, even during times of sorrow. We pray to our heavenly father for help to cope with the sorrow felt from the death of a loved one. By prayer and supplication, let your petitions be made known to God; and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6 May you find comfort by relying on our heavenly father and learning more about the blessings of God's kingdom. Local ministry volunteer

I knew Mamie years ago when she worked in the Clerk of Superior Court under Mr. Lamm. She was always a very thoughtful person and will be remembered by all who knew her. My deepest sympathy to all of her family.

My condolence to the family. Jehovah God is aware of your loss and understands your feelings at this time. He takes no pleasure in the death of anyone-Ezekiel 18:32. Jesus Christ will use his God-given power to reunite families right here on earth as he did Lazarus-John 11:41-44. Isaiah 25:8 tells us Jehovah God will swallow up death forever. That gives us the wonderful hope of no one ever dying. I do hope you will take the opportunity to read these scripture in your copy of The Bible. For more information please refer to jw.org.
