Ruth Johnson

Ruth Johnson January 19, 1936 – April 28, 2017 Ruth Johnson, 81, passed away Friday. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in Evergreen Memorial Park. The Rev. Tim McFatter will officiate. The family will receive friends 6 – 8 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home of Bobby and Robin Johnson. Ruth retired from Wilson Memorial Hospital after fifteen years of service. Ruth is survived by her sons, Johnny R. Johnson & wife, Linda of Charlotte; Bobby Johnson & wife, Robin of Wilson; grandchildren, Cameron & Logan Johnson of Wilson, Chelsea & Matthew Johnson of Charlotte; sister, Geraldine & husband, Frank of Farmville; special cousin, whom was like a sister, Frances Cockrell & husband, Johnny; friend & confidant, Dot Batts; her special pet dog, Scooter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Atlas Ray Johnson; parents, Joe V. and Alonia Boykin Narron; brother, J.C.
