Tim Williams September 27, 1960 – September 18, 2017 Tim Williams, 56, of Zebulon passed away Monday. His funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Black Creek Town Cemetery. The Rev. Matt Walton will officiate. The family will receive friends 1:30 – 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home. Tim was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. He loved the beach and his favorite thing to do was go to Emerald Isle to our family’s place and relax on the beach, watching the children play or do some surf fishing. His passion was woodworking and antique cars and all aspects of restoring them. Tim was a master at cooking on the grill and his specialty was cooking pigs and inviting lots of friends and family over to share food, stories and laughter. He loved to laugh and was a great story teller. Tim was a hardworking man without a lazy bone in his body, always fixing things around the house and helping anyone who needed it. He was a loving and supportive husband and father and someone you could always count on if you needed help. Tim loved music, especially Little Feat, John Prine and Stevie Ray Vaughan and he especially loved hearing his son, Steven, play guitar. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Tim is survived by his wife, Sherry Lamm Williams and son, Steven Connor Williams, both of the home, sister, Cissie Coffey and husband, David of Elm City, brothers, Jeff Williams and wife, Tina of Wilson, Dan Williams of Atlanta, Georgia, Stanley Williams and wife, Cindy of Lincolnton and Brad Williams and wife, Lynn of Wilson, several nephews and his loyal and loving dog, Jasmine. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Arthur and Mary Keen Williams and best friend, Gregg Greenleaf.
