Allegra Eason Poole

Allegra Eason Poole, 93, of Wilson, passed away Sunday. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Rev. Ray Barnhill will officiate. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday Evening at Joyner’s Funeral Home from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Allegra was a devoted servant to the ministry and spent over fifty years as a Sunday School Teacher and Choir Director at Five Points Missionary Baptist Church and Forest Hills Baptist Church. She also worked for fifty-three years as an office manager at Liberty Warehouse. Allegra loved spending time with family and friends and will be dearly missed by all.

Allegra is survived by her daughters, Anne P. Matthews and husband, Mitch of Wilson and Tamsie Kubas of Elm City; granddaughter, Catherine K. Noel and husband, Ryan of Bailey; grandsons, Robert Kubas of Kansas, Daniel Kubas and wife, Ashley of Black Creek, Graham Christopher Matthews of Raleigh, Brandon Matthews and wife Megan of Wilson, four great grandchildren, and a host of loving family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bruce” Poole and son in law, Jim Kubas.
