Althea Madeline Morgan Whitley November 28, 1954 – September 29, 2021 Althea Madeline Morgan Whitley, 66 of Wilson passed away Wednesday. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Interment will follow in the Whitley Family Cemetery, 5256 East Alternate, Wilson. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 1 – 1:45 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson and other times at the home. Althea is survived by her husband, Johnny Whitley; sons, Jonathan Whitley, Johnny Ray Whitley, Jr.; thirteen grandchildren; her special grandchild, Noah Whitley, and her daughters, Hope Smith, Faith Hershey, Katie Whitley; sister, Evone Mizzel and her brother, Don Morgan. She was preceded in death by her sons, Jeremy Clay Smith, and George Wayne Smith, Jr.; her parents, Howard and Rachel Morgan, and her sister, Elaine Walston.
