   Ann Fulghum Johnson, 77 joined her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. A visitation will be held Friday, March 22, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 pm, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Rd Pkwy W, Wilson NC 27896. Funeral services will be held March 23, 2024, 3:00 pm, at Marsh Swamp OFW Baptist Church, 6664 Rock Ridge School Rd, Sims NC 27880. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Rev. Ray Wells and Rev. Daniel Vester officiating.

  Ann grew up on her family's farm and attended Rock Ridge High School. She graduated from Kings Business College with a degree in accounting. Ann’s career included many years as an accountant for Dean’s and Manning, CPA before she went into business for herself at A&S Accounting & Tax Services, Inc. She took care of her clients as if they were family and lived a life of service for others.

  Ann was a member of Marsh Swamp OFWB Church where she taught Sunday School for many years and served as assistant treasurer.

  Her blessings were many and her greatest enjoyment was her family. This included a large extended family that she adored. Her favorite blessing of all was her grandchildren and being involved in their lives.

  Ann is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, William D. “Bill” Johnson; daughters, Paula Johnson Henderson of Raleigh, and Leigh Ann Thorne-Boyette and husband Michael of Sims; grandchildren Anna Claire Joshi, Grayson Thorne, William Joshi, Johnson Thorne, Caroline Joshi and Emily Boyette; sisters Joan Hinnant and husband Howard of Sims, Alice Bissette and husband Jerry of Sims, and Vickie Hinnant and husband David of Kenly.

  She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Elmer and Senie Smith Fulghum; sisters, Faye Narron and Juanita Tedder; and brother, Randolph Fulghum.

The family would like to thank her caregivers from Comforcare of Wilson.
