Ann Edwards Strickland

Ann Edwards Strickland, 87 of Bailey passed away Monday.  A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 11 a.m. in Bailey Town Cemetery, Bailey. 

Ann was a dedicated teacher for thirty-seven years.  Her career began at Zebulon High School, and she retired from Southern Nash High School in 1995.  Ann was a member of Bailey Methodist Church.  She enjoyed golf, reading, sewing and was skilled in a wide variety of crafts.

Ann is survived by her loving husband of sixty-four years, Owen H. Strickland of the home; her only son, Owen H. Strickland, II and wife Martina and grandson, B.J. Kitterman of Haw River; granddaughters, Stephanie White and Lezlee Kitterman both of Alamance County, and her sisters, Robbie, Lynda, Elaine and Jenny.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Lee Edwards and her brother, Donnie Edwards.
