Audrey Claire Jones Cayton February 24, 1929 – May 3, 2021 Audrey Claire Jones Cayton, 92 of Wilson passed away Monday. Her funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. DeWayne Eakes will officiate. Audrey was a schoolteacher for thirty years. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Audrey is survived by her, nieces, Vickie Jackson of Goldsboro, Susan Jones of Goldsboro, Nancy Baldree of Black Creek, Junie Bynum of Stantonsburg, and Peggy Carnahan of Wilson; great-great-niece, Laure Lee Garrett and husband, Brad of Black Creek; great-nieces, Anna Pearson Garrett, Jonathan Garrett, and Wyatt Garrett; brother, Roland Jones of Greensboro, and her sister-in-law, Ilene Jones of Kinston.
