Betty Bass Joyner

Betty Bass Joyner “Betty Ann” completed her life’s journey on Thursday March 12, 2026. The family will receive friends Monday afternoon, March 16, 2026  from 5 – 5:45 p.m. prior to the funeral services at 6 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Rd Pkwy W, Wilson, North Carolina. The Rev. DeWayne Eakes will officiate. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2026 in Edwin-Owens Family Cemetery, Piney Grove Church Road, Saratoga.

Betty was a loving and dedicated mother. She loved her son John and daughter-in-law, Kim, and all of her grand puppies with all of her heart. She enjoyed singing and playing softball in her younger years and was always ready for good conversation.

She is survived by her beloved son, John and daughter-in-law, Kim of Lucama. She is also survived by many special nieces and nephews who will dearly miss her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas (Tom) and Pauline Bass; brother William Farris Miller Sr. and sister, Helen Mae Miller Alusik.
