Billy Ray Raper September 13, 1941 – October 19, 2020 Billy Ray Raper of Wilson passed away Monday, October 19, 2020. Due to Covid, there will not be a funeral service. The family will receive friends at the home. Billy was the son of the late Bertha Hinnant Raper Wood and Plummer Wiley Raper, and the step-son of the late Ernest Randolph Wood. Billy is survived by his wife, Edna Earle Patterson Raper; daughter, Laura Raper Harris and husband, Jeffrey Alan Harris; his grandsons, who were his pride and joy, Ryan Alan Harris and fianceé, Kendra Marie Fischer and Reid Aaron Harris and his special friend, Emma Cosby Lantz and his brothers, Sammie Gene Raper and wife, Frances and Lannis Pete Raper.
