Catherine Perry Stancil

Catherine Perry Stancil, 79, of Wilson passed away Saturday, October 31, 2026. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson with the family receiving friends prior from 2 – 3 p.m. Rev. Rusty Russell will officiate.

Catherine is survived by her daughters, Tish Summerlin and husband, Steve of Wilson, Kelly Barnes and husband, Billy of Wilson, and Lee Anne Edwards and husband, Justin of Zebulon; seven grandchildren, Brooke Meador, Sage Meador and wife, Tori, Stephen Abrams and wife, Katie, Kaitlin Baker and husband, Alex, Christopher Abrams, Khloe Barnes and Luke Edwards; one great-grandchild, Mack Baker

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Alvin Stancil, Jr.; parents, Tyrus and Cleo Perry, and her brothers, Phil Perry, Ted Perry, Bill Perry and Tyrus Perry.
