Charles Ray Kirby

Charles Ray Kirby, 73 of Wilson passed away Thursday, July 9, 2026. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 1230 – 1:45 p.m. with a service following at 2 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Charles is survived by his children, Angel Kirby, Scott Kirby and his wife, Jennifer Kirby, and Katherine Kirby; his sisters, Pamela Murray, and Kim Oakley; brother, Neil Kirby, Brian Kirby, and Tim Kirby; his grandchildren, Haleigh Fox and husband, Jake Fox, Cameron Kirby, Bailey Kirby, Alex Kirby, Connor Miller, and his great-grandchildren, Carter Fox and Emily Fox.

He worked at Firestone for forty years, served as captain of the rescue squad, and was a professional diving instructor. Charles left a lasting impact on his community, he will be dearly missed.
