Charles Richard Nichols

Charles Richard Nichols passed away on Saturday, March 4.  He was a lifelong farmer in Wilson county and will be greatly missed by his family, friends and community. 

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 7 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Joyner’s Funeral Home in Wilson, NC.  A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 8 at 2:00 pm at Evergreen Memorial Park, officiated by Reverend Wayne Whitley.

Charles is survived by his wife, Sandra Brown Nichols; son, Mark Allan Nichols; stepdaughter, Rebecca Lynn Hollis (Joe); stepson, Bobby Ray Strickland (Tonya); grandchildren, Lauren Hollis, Joseph Hollis, Charles Michael Nichols, Abbie Nichols, and Zack Strickland; and great grandchildren, Bentley Hollis, Kennedy Strickland, and Caroline Strickland.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Joyner Stott and Joseph Stott; brothers, Mark Stott and Gary Stott; and grandmother, Pearlie Joyner.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gary Wayne Stott Memorial Scholarship Fund at NC State University, Extension 4-H Associate, Box 7655 NCSU, Raleigh, NC  27695-7655.
