Daniel "Danny" Andrew Jordan, III

Daniel “Danny” Andrew Jordan, III, 75, of Wilson, passed away peacefully on Wednesday. A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. Rev. Rusty Russell and Rev. Brad Perry will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Joyner’s Funeral Home.

Danny served his country loyally and faithfully spending four years in the United States Air Force. He then went on to retire from the Wilson County Sheriffs Department after thirty-one years of service. Danny also had a passion for flying, he was an avid pilot as well as a flight instructor. Danny loved his family and spending time with them. He will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.

Danny is survived by his loving wife, Cherie Bridgers Jordan of the home; daughter, Shannon J. McIntyre and husband, Marc of Wilson; sons, Todd Tant of Wilson and Bubba Tant and wife, Lauren of Fremont; sister, Judy McDade of Mooresville; brother, Phil Jordan and wife, Cathie of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Megan McIntyre, Ben McIntyre, Brendan McIntyre, Maddie Tant, Brady Tant, Thomas Tant, Cameron Tant, Caydan Tant and Kaynan Tant.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Audrey Jordan; brother, Greg Jordan; daughter, Barbie Jordan.
