Daryel Lomax Newsome

Daryel Lomax Newsome, 73, of Lucama passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2025, in Black Creek Town Cemetery. Rev. DeWayne Eakes will officiate.

Daryel loved going to the beach and enjoyed a meal at Amy Jo’s restaurant. He was retired from Wilson Medical Center after twenty years of service.

Daryel is survived by his loving wife of thirty-eight years, Theresa Laughinghouse Newsome; sons, Brad Newsome of Fremont and Gregory Newsome of Black Creek, and his brother, Danny Newsome and wife, Darlene of Lucama.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Cassie Newsome.
