Donald Freeman -Don- Lamm, 66 of Nashua, NH formerly of Wilson passed away following a long valiant battle with cancer on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 with his family at his side at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, MA.

Don was born in Wilson, on June 21, 1946, son of the late Willie M. and Bertha V. (Eppes) Lamm.-He was raised in Wilson and graduated from Rock Ridge High School.-He enlisted into the U.S. Army in 1968 followed by a long successful career, retiring in 1991 at the rank of Command Sergeant Major.-While in the Army he received an Associate-s Degree in Business Management.

Following military retirement, Don-was employed for 19 years as a field engineer at Raytheon until 2010, and for the last 2 years as a consultant for Intuitive Research and Technology in Huntsville, AL.

Don had a passion for the protection of the soldier, a gifted musician in his group, -The Lone Star Band- playing bass guitar.-He was an avid NASCAR race fan and was a seasoned traveler RVing with his wife, family and close friends.

In addition to his wife, Debra, he is survived by his children and spouses, Teresa L. and Marty Lewis of Kenly, John W. Lamm of San Angelo, TX, Daniel F. Lamm of Milford, NH, and stepson Russell J. and Joanna Cooper of Lynn, MA; his siblings and their spouses, William M. and Jeanette Lamm of Wilson, Nora Lamm Williamson of Greenville, and Wanda Lamm and Donnie Sherrod of Sims and his 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren that were the love of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Norman Leon Lamm.

A visitation was held May 4, 2013 at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, in Peabody, MA.-A celebration of life was held at 6 p.m. at the funeral Home with Rev. Grant Hoofnagle officiating.-/p>

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2013 at Rock Hill Cemetery, Wilson.-The Rev. Elwood Long will officiate.
