Donald Braxton Jones, 75, of Sims passed away Saturday.  Funeral services will be conducted 7 p.m. Wednesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home.  Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in Buckhorn United Methodist Church Cemetery, 8102 Hwy 42 N, Kenly.  The Rev. Dave Amon will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Donald was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and a friend to all who knew him.  He was the owner of Jones Cooling and Heating.   He graduated from NCSU in 1963.  Donald enjoyed playing tennis, playing his trumpet and loved his work.  Donald was a member of Buckhorn United Methodist Church and where he sang in the choir.  Donald will be thought of often with memories that will warm the heart and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Donald is survived by his wife, Lillian Jones of the home; his daughter, Sharon J. Payne and husband, Mark of Greenville, South Carolina; his son, Jeffery T. Jones of Raleigh; his granddaughters, Elizabeth Payne and Paige Payne; his sisters, Brenda Barnes and husband, Jonathan of Lucama, and Debbie Wood and husband, Toby of Four Oaks, and his four special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Braxton Leroy Jones and Olive Lucas Jones.
