Doretha Reason Parnell December 23, 1934 – February 27, 2021 Doretha Reason Parnell, 86 of Wilson passed away Saturday. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. Wayne Whitley will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:30 – 11:00 in Evergreen Memorial Park. Doretha is survived by her daughter, Pat Sasser and husband, Marty; grandson, Zachary Sasser; sister, Debbie Cox; brother, Ricky Reason and wife, Ann, and a host of nieces and nephews that were her special caregivers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Parnell; parents, Willie and Ethel Harrell Reason; sisters, Winnie Lee Denton and Faye Edwards, and her brother, Elton Reason.
