Dorothy Jean Barnes Tomlinson July 6, 1959 – September 28, 2021 Dorothy Jean Barnes Tomlinson, 62 of Wilson passed away Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Private graveside will be held for the family. Rev. Tony Hawley will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5 – 6:45 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, sister-in-law, and aunt. She will be thought of often with wonderful memorials and will be dearly missed. Dorothy is survived by her son, Keith Tomlinson of Wilson; sister-in-law, Barbara Barnes; brother-in-law, Wayne Gardner of Lucama; niece, Christy Gardner of Lucama, and her nephews, Dennis Gardner, Robert Barnes, and Mike Barnes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Keith Tomlinson; daughter, Gloria Denise Tomlinson; parents, Marion and Dorothy Barnes; sister, Linda Faye Gardner, and her brothers, Charles Ray Barnes and Marion Junior Barnes.
