She is survived by her son, Jesse Clinton Joyner Jr. and his wife, Donna of Charlottesville, Virginia; daughters, Virginia Joyner Kennedy and her husband, Jim of McLean, Virginia and Catherine Irene Joyner Lughes and her husband, Jody of Raleigh. She took great pride in her six grandchildren and was blessed with five great grandchildren.
