Douglas Matthew Perry

Douglas Matthew Perry, 59, of Bailey passed away September 5, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, resilience, fun, and deep love for his family.

Before becoming disabled, Douglas was an avid business owner who poured his energy and passion into his work, taking great pride in building something of his own. Above all his accomplishments, his greatest joy in life was his family, and he deeply loved his daughters.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Reca Perry; his father, Robert Perry; his sisters, Joyce Holmes and Edith Joan Bissette; his brother, Danny Robert Perry; his sister-in-law Diane Perry, and his cousin, Michelle Bissette Finch.

Douglas is survived by his beloved daughters, Jessica Perry, Anna Perry, and honorary daughter, Brittany Roman (Matt); his cherished grandchildren, Devin and Samuel; his sister, Lois Perry Jones; his aunt, Helen Jean Perry; his uncle, Jerry Perry; and his brother-in-law, Woodie Bissette.

His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Memorial Service to be held at on September 25, 2026 at 6pm at Bible Missionary Baptist Church, 2833 Tilghman Rd, Wilson North Carolina 27896. The family will receive family and friends from 5 pm- 5:45pm prior to the service.
