Douglas Scott Taylor December 29, 1963 – September 20, 2021 Douglas Scott Taylor, 57 of Ohio, formerly of Wilson passed away Monday, September 20, 2021. A memorial graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Maplewood Cemetery, Wilson. Rev. Rachel Price will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service. Mask are requested and the family encourages casual dress. Doug was a graduate of Hunt High School and attended ECU. Doug is survived by his parents, Don and Ophelia Taylor of Wilson; brother, Steve Taylor and wife, Mareva of Clayton; niece, Brittany Lawhead (Susan), and his nephew, Mark Taylor (Anna). He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorissa McComas Taylor. Memorials may be directed to Winstead United Methodist Church, 1407 S Tarboro Street, Wilson, North Carolina 27893.
