Durwood Lee Aycock

Durwood Aycock, 73 of Lucama passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2026. The family will have a celebration of life on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Durwood was described by many people that crossed his path as a “character” Chances are, if you did meet him, you might hear him say one of his favorite phrases, such as “It’s all good in the hood.” or “Where there is no fools, there is no fun.” Durwood was also very kindhearted and loved his family and friends dearly.

Durwood is survived by his daughters, Casie Aycock, Wanda Webb (William), and Mickie-Lynn Warrick; granddaughter, Krislynn Kelch; grandsons, Wyatt Webb and Bradley Webb; sister, Sharon Aycock; sister, Theresa Aycock; and brother, Archie Aycock.

Durwood is preceded in death by his parents, AB and Sadie; sister, Phyllis Gooch; brother, Dennis Aycock.
