Edna Stott Sharpe, 98, passed away at her daughter’s home on October 9, 2026. A graveside service will be conducted at Nobles Chapel Church Cemetery at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, Oct. 13. The Rev. Ray Wells will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Family Life Center at Nobles Chapel and at other times at the home of Debbie and Charles Hancock.
Edna was a loving and supportive wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a true farmer’s wife until her husband retired from farming, as well as a gifted seamstress who loved all kinds of needlework.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George T. Sharp, Sr.; her first husband, Harvey B. Stott; parents, Milton and Mozelle Barham; brothers, Owen and Cary Barham; and son, George T. Sharp, Jr.
She is survived by daughters, Ann Stott Davis of Reidsville, Bonnie Stott Dorsey (Kirk) of Elizabeth City, Linda Sharp Miller of Rock Ridge, Katherine Sharp Sherrod (Ben) of Sims, and Debbie Sharp Hancock (Charles) of Rock Ridge; sons, Nelson Stott (Mary Lu) of Clayton, and Warren Sharp (Mary) of Rock Ridge; 18 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 7 great, great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Free Will Baptist Children’s Home, P.O. Box 249, Middlesex, NC 27557-0249
