 Edward “Ed” Earl Parris 86, passed away at home with his family at his side, on Sunday, September 15, 2024. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM, in the Stantonsburg Town Cemetery. Rev. Wayne Whitley Officiating.

 “Ed” retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation after 30 years, and he was an avid gardener and fisherman.

 “Ed” is survived by his daughter Sonya P. Sannes and husband Bryan, and son Jackie Parris. He is also survived by his sister Zellie Jones, brothers Arnold Parris, and Arthur Parris. Grandchildren: Amber Snider, Zack Parris, Hunter Parris, Ashleigh Sannes, Jackson Sannes, and Ella Parris. Great grandchildren: Sloan Snider, and Tyson Parris. And his dog Jake.

 “Ed” was preceded in death by his wife Gladys Rose Parris, and son Kevin Parris
