Eleanor King Overton

Eleanor King Overton passed away Thursday, July 31, 2025. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Rev. Clay Parker will officiate.

The family will receive friends Friday evening, August 1, 2025, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson from 6 – 7:30 p.m.

Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Deborah O. Caples and husband, Joshua of Browns Summit; son, James Alan Overton and wife, Kim of Wilson; grandchildren, Samuel King Overton of Elm City, Jameson Alexander Overton of Wilson, and Christopher Randell Bieri and wife, Harley of Tennessee, and her sister, Betty Carol Parker of Goldsboro.

She was preceded in death by her her husband, James Alan Overton, Sr. and her parents, Donald H. King and Elsie King.
