Ella Mae Bass

Ella Mae Bass, 96 of Wilson passed away Thursday, June 25, 2026. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 2026, in Kenly Town Cemetery, Kenly.

The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon, July 8, 2026, from 5 – 6 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Ella loved to travel, an avid NASCAR fan and she loved to cook. She was tender-hearted and a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Ella is survived by her precious seven grandchildren; eleven wonderful great-grandchildren and two special great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughters, Connie Evans, and Dora Butts; sons, Ronnie “Buddy” Jackson, Albert “June Bug” Jackson, and Andrew Jackson; granddaughter, Barbara Ann Pierce, and her parents, Marvin and Odell Horne.
