Evangeline Johnson Bland

Evangeline Johnson Scott Bland, 90, of Wilson, passed away Thursday. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday January 2, 2023, at Bible Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Eric Aldridge, Rev. Matt Roman and Rev. David Barnes will officiate. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., on Sunday, January 1, 2023, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Evangeline is survived by her daughters, Cathy Dimery and husband, Lyn of South Carolina and Debbie Hill of the home; sons, Rodney L. Scott, Linwood R. Scott and wife, Deborah of Virginia and Randy Scott and wife, Rebecca of Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren;  four great-great grandchildren, and her sisters, Florine Kimberlin of LaGrange and Janet Barrow and husband, Mel of Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Nora Johnson and her brother, William Lee Johnson.
