Floyd Faison Bunn

Floyd Faison Bunn June 10, 1932 – June 15, 2020 Floyd Faison Bunn, 88 of Middlesex passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side. His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 19, 2020 at Lee’s Chapel Baptist Church, 14551 Taylors Mill Road, Middlesex. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Ricky Anderson and Joel Story will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Floyd was loved and respected by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His dedication to his family, friends, church and community was unwavering. Floyd is survived by his daughters, Deborah B. Coash (Richard), Carol B. Whitley (Greg) and Somer N. Bunn (Clint); grandchildren, Matthew Baker (Chiara), Jason Bunn, Jonathan Carroll (Rachel), Kelsie Pierce (Shane) and Ashley Creech (Jeff); great-grandchildren, Faison Overby, Lillian Overby, Jonathan Bunn, Kaeden Carroll, Kaine Carroll, Stella Rose Creech and baby Pierce; his sister Betty Wright and special caregivers, Bill, Angel and Cammy. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Dixie H. Bunn; son, Gregory Bunn; granddaughter, Ana Marie Carroll and his parents, Cullus F. Bunn and Ila Mae Bunn.
