Franklin Dee Grimes

Franklin Dee Grimes, 88, of Stantonsburg, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023.  A graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Eureka Cemetery at 2:00pm.

Franklin leaves behind daughters, Deborah Grimes Dail (Louis) of Farmville; Sandy Grimes Cooper (Gary) of Kenly; son, Dennis Grimes of Stantonsburg;  grandchildren, Shannon Hodge (Larry) of Kenly, Ashley Landvater (Jeremy) of Swansboro, Kelly Pittman (Patrick) of Richmond, Virginia; great-grandchildren, Jordan and Bristol Hodge, Emily, Sammy, and Timmy Landvater, Maggie and Palmer Pittman; and brothers, Ralph Grimes and Durwood Grimes.

Franklin was preceded in death by his wife, Lou Ellen Daughety;  parents, John William (Bill) Grimes and Janie Overman;  sisters, Eleanor Rose Collier and Mary Della Worthington; and brothers, Willie Carrol Grimes and Donald Wayne Grimes.
