Gail Edwards Hamm July 12, 1947 – September 17, 2021 Gail Edwards Hamm, 74 of Lucama went to be with her Lord and savior Friday, at her home. A celebration of Gail’s life will be Sunday, September 26, 2021 from 2 – 4 p.m. at her home, 6211 US 117, Lucama, North Carolina. Gail was born to the late Joyce Sullivan and Luther Edwards. She is survived by her husband of thirty-four years, James Hamm of the home; son, Richard Lucas of Lucama; grandchildren, Casey Lucas of Lucama, and Joshua Lucas of Benson; her siblings, Diane Raper Roberson and late husband, Shorty, Pam Raper Hawley and husband, David all of Lucama, Eddie Edwards and wife, Janet of Morehead City, and Taffie Edwards Grady and late husband, Scott of Morehead City ; her aunt, Ruby Davis and husband, Dale of Morehead City that loved and raised Gail; cousin, Willie Guthrie of Morehead City, and many loved nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Joyce and Elwood Raper and her father and step-mother, Luther and Carolyn Edwards, and her sister, Tracy Raper.
