Gary R. Burdette

Gary R. Burdette, 77 of Wilson passed away Saturday, July 22, 2023.  Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson.  Pastor Josh Preskitt will officiate.  Cremation will follow. 

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 – 6:45 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Gary is survived by his step-sons, Dean Etheridge, and Skeeter Etheridge and wife, Lea Ann; grandchildren, Sonya Etheridge, Chad Etheridge, Todd Etheridge, Jody Etheridge, Brittany Reinihard, Haley Etheridge, and Kayla Etheridge; fourteen great-grandchildren, and his brothers, Kermit Burdette, and Ferrell Burdette.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Burdette; step-sons, Bobby Etheridge and Scottie Etheridge; grandchild, Jason Etheridge, parents, Ray and Urshley Burdette, and his sister, Patty Bennett.
