Gaylene Jo Leary Heath, 55, of Rocky Mount, formerly of Wilson, passed away suddenly Thursday.  A Memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at First Christian Church, 207 North Tarboro Street, Wilson. The Rev. Gary Walling and Rev. Bill Grisham will officiate. A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2013 in the Leary Family Cemetery in Rocky Hock.  The Rev. Bill Presley will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday immediately following the service in the fellowship hall and other times at 6339 Pointe Lane, Rocky Mount, NC. Gay was a graduate of Edgecombe Community College and was a dedicated employee at Wilson Medical Center as a Special Procedure Technologist in the radiology department for 33 years.  She was a loving mother, beloved sister, and a caring friend to all that knew her. She is survived by her son, Stillman Gray Heath; her sister, Cindy Schellenberg and husband, Robert; her brother, Wade Leary and wife, Phyllis; her nieces, Katie Rogers and husband, Mike, Anna Claire Schellenberg, Rebecca Schellenberg and Emily Leary and her nephew, Gray Leary. She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy Gray Leary and Magdalene Hill Leary and her brother, Dale Gray Leary. Condolences may be directed to www.joyners.net.
