Gladys Lee Whitley Thigpen, 85 of Wilson passed away Saturday. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Rev. Tommy Hagan and Rev. Joe Stallings will officiate.

Gladys is survived by her daughters, Gail Dilda, Sandra Cox and husband, David, and Sharon Yepiz and husband, Douglas; son, William Jerry Dilda; granddaughters, Taylor, Lisa, Jessica, Diamond, Erica, and Samantha; grandsons, Desi, Travis, and Jamie and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Troy and Lillian Whitley; grandson, Tyson Dilda; sisters, Pauline Mercer-Barnes, and Dorothy Whitley, and her brothers, Pete Whitley, and Fred Whitley.
