Gordon Ray Bonta

Gordon Ray Bonta, 68, passed away on Sunday, March 3.   A celebration of life will be held Friday, March 8 at 5:00 pm.  Eastgate Church, 2301 Montgomery Drive, Wilson.  Pastor Gary Combs will officiate.

Family will receive friends on Friday, March 8 from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Eastgate Church.

Gordon was owner and operator of GRB Roofing and was a faithful employee of the Wilson Health Department for over fifteen years.

Gordon is survived by his loving wife, Mary Nichols Bonta; daughters, Elizabeth Radford and husband, Chris of Wilson, Michelle Webb and husband, Mike of Lucama, and Tammy Bonta of Wilson; son, Dustin Bonta and wife, Krystle of Wilson; sister, Shirley Adkins of Mechanicsville, MD; brothers, James Bonta and companion, Virginia of Kinston and Wayne Bonta and wife, Linda of Woodbridge, VA; and grandchildren, Austin, Shane, Caleb, Aria, Savannah, and Jacob.

Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, James Verne Bonta and Elizabeth Jeanette Tipton Bonta; sisters, Peggy Brant and Karen Beckham; and brother, Charles Bonta.
