Harold Brantley, 80, of Bailey passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2025, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Rev. Hal Jones will officiate. Interment will be in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens, Thomson, Georgia at a later date.
The family will receive friends Friday, July 18, 2025, from 4 – 4:45 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the residence.
Harold served his country with honor and pride with the U.S. Navy. He retired from J.M. Huber Corp after thirty years of service. Harold loved to cook for his family and friends, and he loved western movies and history documentaries. Harold was a great man, who loved his family dearly. Harold will be missed and thought of often with wonderful memories.
Harold is survived by his wife, Nancy Denton Brantley of the home; her daughters, Gilda Barton and husband, Mark of Greenville and Wendy Faulkner and husband, Todd of Bailey; grandchildren, Trent Barton and wife, Peyton of Winterville, Davis Barton of Greenville, Emma Faulkner of Boone, Isaiah Faulkner of Greenville and Luke Faulkner of Bailey; brother, Melvin Brantley and wife, Joyce; his nieces, Tracy Capps and husband, Bobby and Denise Freeman; nephew, Steve Brantley along with other family members.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sybil Brantley and his son, Clay David Brantley; parents, Elton and Minnie Brantley; sisters, Mary Brantley Skinner Webb, Effie Mae “Doris” Whitley; brothers, J.E. Brantley, Jr. and Paul Gregory Brantley.
