Harry Nelson Hunter

Harry Nelson Hunter, 80 of Wilson passed away Saturday.  A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2022  in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson.  Pastor Jonathan Ange will officiate.

Harry retired from Sprint after thirty-six years of service.  He was a loving husband, father, step-father and grandfather who was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Harry is survived by his loving wife of seventeen years, Delois S. Hunter; children, Harry N. Hunter, Jr. and wife, Tonia of Jacksonville, and Karen Hunter of Leland; step-children, Debbie Yates and husband, David, Teresa Jones, and Timmy Phillips; grandchildren, Nick Hunter and wife, Joanna, Jason Hunter, Hunter Smith, and Tyler Smith, and his step-grandchildren, Jennifer Owens, Brittany Owens, Lauren Jones, Jordan Stokes, and Haleigh Stokes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Hunter and Bessie Norris; sister, Ruth Ezzell, and his brothers, Robert Hunter, Chester Hunter, Roger Hunter, and Elmer Hunter.
