Hazel Dawson Coley January 17, 1929 – August 17, 2021 Hazel Dawson Coley, 92 of Wilson passed away Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Wilson. The Rev. Wayne Whitley will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 1 – 1:45 at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Hazel retired from Bridgestone/Firestone after working twenty-four years and fifteen years with Burlington Mills. Hazel is survived by her son, Chris Coley and his significant other, Angel of Wilson; sister, Barbara Bass and husband, Alan of Wilson, and her brother, Gordan Ray Dawson of Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Coley; daughters, Pamela Joy Coley and Vickie Belinda Coley; parents, Oscar and Virginia Dawson, and her sisters, Frances Felton, Rachel Edmonson, Mamie Durham, Cora Stell and her twin sister, Ora Hathaway, and Alene Barfield; brothers, Roland Dawson, Ed Dawson and Clyde Woodruff.
