Heather Dawn Lucas

Heather Dawn Lucas, 35, passed away on Thursday, May 4.  Family will receive friends on Monday, May 15 from 12:30 pm to 1:45 pm at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson, NC 27896.  A memorial service will be held immediately following visitation at 2:00 pm at Joyner’s Funeral Home.  Reverend Wayne Whitley will officiate.

Heather is survived by her significant other, Lee Henderson; son, Elijah Lucas; daughter, Marley Barnett; father, Richard Leland Lucas and wife, Susan; mother, Kimberly Peetz- Ortiz and husband, Jose “Angel” Ortiz; brother, Dustin Lucas and wife, Amber; brother, Ian Cantrell and wife, Meredith; maternal grandparents, Diane and Jimmy Langston; aunt, Kelly Peetz; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Heather was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Brochie Leland Lucas and Marie Forbes Lucas.
