Helen Jones Bridgers April 18, 1927 – December 24, 2020 Helen Jones Bridgers, 93 of Elm City passed away Thursday. Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Bridgers Family Cemetery, Bridgersville. The Rev. Dwight Batts will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday morning from 10 – 11 a.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Helen is survived by her daughters, Kathryn Bridgers Williams of Edenton, Merry Bridgers Harrell of Elm City and Patty Bridgers Carter and husband, Ken of Sunset Beach; son, Rodney Bridgers and wife, Peggy of Elm City; grandchildren, Kristie B. Jones and husband, Kevin of Black Mountain, Kimberly B. Pittman and husband, Chris, of Elm City, Caleb Bridgers of Maryland, Paul C. Williams, Jr. and wife, Jenny of Edenton, David Bridgers Williams and wife, Elizabeth of Holly Springs, Shannon B. Comerford and husband, Chris of Bailey and Christopher Carter of Charlotte; six great-grandchildren, and her sister, Dorothy J. Barnes of Elm City.
